CO2 Laser Resurfacing

If you need blemishes removed, you’ve come to the right place. CO2 laser resurfacing is an intensive procedure that gives incredible results, permanently removing unwanted marks, such as acne scars and age spots. It quite literally resurfaces your skin, leaving you with a brighter, more youthful complexion.

How does CO2 laser resurfacing work?

CO2 laser resurfacing works by passing a laser beam across damaged skin, which activates the body’s healing process. It stimulates the production of collagen and new cells. This gives you a new layer of fresh, glowing skin in just a few days. This can permanently remove unwanted marks and scarring, as well as reducing deep wrinkles, with excellent results. CO2 laser resurfacing can help reduce:

  • Acne scarring
  • Age spots
  • Sun damage
  • Wrinkles
  • Scars
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Lesions
  • Uneven complexion
  • Dull, tired skin

As the laser stimulates the growth of new collagen and elastin, your skin will continue to improve for up to 6 months after treatment. For deeper scars, you may need several sessions, which we will discuss with you during your initial consultation.

What to expect after CO2 Laser Resurfacing

After the treatment, you will require a certain amount of downtime, but the end result will be worth it!

As the laser penetrates deep into your skin, there will be a significant amount of redness and weeping on the treated area over the first 2 weeks. We will give you cream to apply during the first 7-10 days as it’s important to keep your skin hydrated. You must refrain from wearing make-up during the first week, and avoid the sun/ wear sun protection for a month following treatment. Some swelling may also occur but should resolve within a week or so.
